2012 Reinhold Foundation Nonprofit Team Leadership Development Program

As part of its grant making program, The Paul E. and Klare N. Reinhold Foundation, Inc. works to support nonprofit organizations that serve Clay County, Florida – the community that provided such a fulfilling life for founders Paul and Klare Reinhold.

Through its Leadership Development Initiative, the Foundation focuses on strengthening the nonprofit sector by strengthening the leadership of nonprofit organizations that serve Clay County. Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides services to Clay County residents is eligible to apply.

2012 Reinhold Foundation Nonprofit Team Leadership Development Program

The Reinhold Foundation Nonprofit Team Leadership Development Program is a five-day  curriculum dedicated to enhancing the leadership skills within nonprofit organizations that serve Clay County. The Program is  taught by faculty from Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center, who developed the curriculum specifically to meet the needs of Clay County nonprofit organizations.

The Program is designed to provide training to organizational teams, which may include professional staff, senior volunteer leaders, or board members.

When several people from the same organization share a common learning experience, the impact on the organization is typically much greater. It is often difficult, however, for organizations to manage the costs or logistical challenges of providing team training. The Reinhold Nonprofit Team Leadership Development Program makes team training manageable by:

  • Underwriting all of the costs of the training;
  • Limiting training sessions to a manageable amount of time;
  • Holding training sessions in Clay County.

In addition, The Paul E. and Klare N. Reinhold Foundation, Inc. offers a special incentive to organizations that participate in this program: those teams that successfully complete the training will earn a “Graduation Grant” of up to $2,000 for their organization. (The organization earns $500 for each member of the four person team who graduates). Participants must successfully complete the entire training program (all 5 days) in order for their organization to be eligible for the Graduation Grant.

Curriculum and critical dates

The curriculum includes the following five days of courses:

Ready, Set, Fundraise! – a two-day course that helps organizations review fundamentals in preparation for fundraising. Wednesday and Thursday, February 8-9, 2012

Board Governance for Effective Leadership – a powerful program taught by Chuck Loring, a senior consultant for BoardSource and nationally recognized expert in board development. Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Volunteer Management Academy – a one-day session that helps organizations develop more effective strategies for working with volunteer staff. Thursday, March 1, 2012

Finding Funding & Creating a Diversified Fundraising Plan – a practical strategy session to help organizations map out their fundraising future. Thursday, March 8, 2012

Click here for the complete curriculum and course objectives. Participants must be committed to attending all five days of training listed above.

All courses are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and will be held at the Holiday Inn, Wells Rd., Orange Park, FL.
